Overview : Physics Department
Today’s science is tomorrow’s technology. BSc Physics plays a
primary role in some branches of BSc. A sound knowledge of
Physics is always essential for understanding BSc problems. B.Sc
Physics is technical Physics meant to provide a thorough
grounding for special applied areas such as lasers,
superconductivity, fiber optics, nanotechnology, shock waves
etc.
The Dept. of Physics since its inception in 2013 has made a
proud track record of quality education, by maintaining an
average 95% pass out in RCUB examinations. The department
has all necessary infrastructures in terms of laboratory and
required equipments needed for the students to carry out
experiments as per UGC norms and as per the syllabus of RCUB.
The department has highly qualified, experienced and
dedicated faculty.

Vision
To build a foundation for Excellence in development of
research activities and academic in the field of Physics in
professional courses as part of curriculum. The faculties will be
providing the knowledge to the students, promoting the
enthusiasm and interests in the study of physics. To inculcate
the proper knowledge of fundamentals of physics, students are
enabling to take up practical and scientific skills in their
professional courses.
Mission
 Provide a standard level of education in the field of BSc
physics to the students and promote them to professional
courses.
 Provide students with basic skills in solving problems in
scientific and technical area of interest.
 Promoting scientific research in student’s creativity. To
nurture the innovative capabilities of students by
providing them with a research platform and exposure to
current technologies.
 To provide individual attention and enable character
building.

Learning Objectives
 To motivate life-long learning experience in physics and
related fields
 To equip the graduates to analyze and communicate the
facts of Physics in inter-disciplinary environment
 To utilize the concepts of Physics and their applications in
addressing the practical and heuristic issues
 To develop the ability of the learners to conduct, observe,
analyze and report
 To orient the students with the necessary analytical skills to
solve practical problems and to develop appropriate design
solutions by understanding technology, instrumentation and
techniques
 To create a sense of ethical and professional responsibilities
among the students
 To practice values and ethics in every walk of life

Learning OUTCOMES
 Students will be able to apply the laws of physics to solve the
physical problems.
 Students will develop the ability to identify the problems in
Physics
 They will use the modern tools in order to learn and
understand Physics
 For the sake of sustainable development, students can
demonstrate the knowledge of physics
 Students will be able to relate the applications of science and
engineering in real life
 Students can apply conceptual understanding of Physics to
real-world situations in multidisciplinary aspects
 They will be able to describe the methodology of science and
the relationship between observation and theory.
 Students are expected to develop written and oral
communication skills in the field of physics related topics
